The NSW Government offers a grant of $10,000 and assistance with transfer duty for eligible first home buyers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">First Home Owner&#8217;s Grant (New Homes) scheme (FHOG)<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Buying or building your first home? You may be eligible for a $10,000 grant under the First Home Owner&#8217;s Grant (FHOG) scheme.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This grant scheme only applies to&nbsp;<strong>buying&nbsp;<\/strong>or<strong>&nbsp;building a new home.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can make a claim if:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>your home is newly constructed and has a total value of less than $600,000<\/li><li>the land and the dwelling you intend to build has a combined value of less than $750,000.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Eligibility<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>To be eligible<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>you must be an individual (not a company or trust) and over 18 years old<\/li><li>you, or at least one person you\u2019re buying with, must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident<\/li><li>you or your spouse must not have previously:<ul><li>owned or co-owned property in Australia<\/li><li>received a first home owner grant in Australia<\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>You can apply for the&nbsp;FHOG when you arrange finance to buy your home.
